i just got done interviewing this guy for a project i’m working on here at work. it totally ruled. this is what i miss most about being a newspaper reporter, just being able to ask people questions and get paid for it. it was like my job to just talk to people and then write about it. god, i miss that.

You know what I miss about being a reporter?
Sleeping under my car.
You see, the only time I spent as a reporter was during high school, and one of the benefits of being a reporter on the school paper was a pass that allowed one to be anywhere on the school grounds at any time. This pass, along with the tendency of the auto shop teacher to overlook any wrongdoing by his favorite students, provided me the ability to sleep uninterrupted beneath my car for hours at a stretch while still maintaining a B+ average.
