raise your hand if you don’t wanna go to work!

the sky is quite grey and its gonna rain, just how like my mondays. i wanna go to work like i want a hole in my head. this week is just gonna be weird and pointless anyway. half of my department is on vacation for the week, which means i can come and go as i please and generally just mess around.

there is grocery shopping and kitchen cleaning in my future. oh joy!

in other, unfascinating news, i haven’t turned my tv on in over a week. i don’t even miss it. i don’t usually watch a lot of tv. i usually keep it on for background noise. i don’t talk to myself nearly as much when i have the tv on. so, i’ve replaced the tv with music, which is always a good thing. but i’ve also increased the talking to myself and i am not sure if that’s a good thing or not.

of course the conversations i have in my head are always lively and witty. i often laugh out loud, i am damn funny.

Jodi, I am always talking to myself. And the reason is because I am the only one who will listen to me.

Well, just as long as it’s not OTHER voices you’re hearing…

And I do exactly the same thing with the TV (where it’s turned on just as incidental). It’s a bad habit, and I was pretty oblivious to it until one of my roomies asked me if I watch a LOT of TV.

Talking to yourself is the clearest sign of genius, I say. And anyway, I am the only person who always understands ALL of my jokes!

gandalf made a statement similar to that in LOTR bewing.

I often laugh out loud at things going in on in my head too, jodi. I guess that’s a good thing.

I like walking down the street with a cellphone yelling profanity into it at the top of my lungs.

    Works best in a crowd!

Ha, I do the same thing with the television. I turn the stupid thing on so I can go and work on the computer. I dont think that I have actually watched it in a year or so. If talking to yourself is a strange thing, then I guess Im one of the strangest people in the world. When you start making faces in the mirror to entertain yourself, thats when you should start being concerned. hmmmmm….
