it seems i am not the only one reading Stephen King’s “On Writing”. Well, i am not really reading it at all, since i have no lovely wife (or husband) to read the book to me, stephen king will have to suffice.
jason, head of the techdoofs, loaned me his audiobook, i’ve been enraptured by it for a week now. i’ve only read one king novel in my entire life (pet semetary when i was 15), but i am enamoured with this “on writing.” king loves to tell stories and that comes through in this book. i love passion. i love passionate people and i think that’s why i have suddenly developed a big, giant crush on mr. king.

I’m sure by it being filtered through Gina that it takes on a different feel than it being read by the man himself…. it’s funny that were both listening to a book about writing…
i am nearly finished listening to it. it makes me want to lock myself away and write and write and write some more. this weekend i am going to go to the library and get more books on tape about writing. it makes the hellish commute (you know because of the floods and all) kinda fun.
Have never had the gumption to try a book on tape, mostly because I figure if the voice is too sonorous, I’ll be asleep in minutes, and any old text can do the same for me.
this was my very first audiobook. i feel a little like i am cheating, and sometimes i wish i had the book so i could go back and re-read. but i am sorta digging the book/commute ordeal quite a bit.
That would be doubly bad. Sleeping and driving don’t mix. I’ve done that and lived to tell the tale.
