hi. guess what? i think i am becoming a morning person. this is a shocking turn of events in my life. i’ve always, always, forever and always been a night person. but today, which is saturday, i woke up all by myself at 7 a.m. more alarming is that when i awoke i was refreshed, energized and motivated. i am in the midst of spring cleaning gemlandia today. it’s in sore need of a sparkle day. you figure i’ve spent the last 5 weeks working 7 days a week, and i am usually lazy. . . so you can imagine the last time this place was dusted and vaccumed. it smells good in here. of course, i’ve only just completed the living room area. but it’s big, so it takes a long time. plus i’ve hauled out loads and loads of crap. gone is the owl lamp, it’s a shame. i shoulda taken a picture of it before i trashed it. so you could see the hideousity of it.

so yeah, i am taking advantage of this morning person thing while it lasts. cleaning and making a special “Sweet Nothings” mixtape for one of my readers. my stereo is really smart. of course i think i bought it in december and i am just figuring it out now. it’s amazing what you can do when you read the owner’s manual. i figured out how to set the clock and how to program tracks. so to make this mixtape all i had to do is pop a blank tape in and set the tracks i wanted and voila! i don’t have to pay attention to it until side one is complete. of course this is an easy tape to make because it’s only featuring one artist. can you guess which one?

tonight i am planning on laying about watching movies and maybe having a glass of wine. when my place is all sparkly clean and good smelling i don’t want to leave. in fact, i just want to invite people over. but i hardly think anyone is gonna want to come sit on my couch and watch “the iron giant” with me. ahh, such is life. i am sure i’ll be in bed by like 11, because of this silly morning person business.
