on saturday night, i went over to sister #2’s house to babysit, make valentines, and watch the dog show with jaycie and max. it was really quite a lot of fun. it’s been awhile since the three of us have hung out together. as we were glitter gluing, we had a discussion about art and creativity.
“i bet you’re as creative as monique,” max said.
“who’s monique?” i asked.
“you know that guy who painted with all the pastels and stuff.”
“monet?” i asked.
“yeah, that guy.”
“how do you know monet?”
“we’re studying him in school.”
“i like georgia o’keefe better,” jaycie said. “do you know georgia o’keefe?”
“i don’t like that guy,” max said.
“it’s georgia, a girl!” she shouted.
“yeah, i still don’t like her,” max said. “i only like claude monique.”

That picture is too cute for words. Better than anything Monique ever painted! When my little cousin learned about Abraham Lincoln in pre-K, they must’ve alternately called him Abraham and Mr. Lincoln. Anyway, Zach came home talking about Mr. Ham Lincoln. We happen to live in the ‘Land of Lincoln’ so I get to toss the ‘ham’ phrase around a lot. Zach is 14 now and grew up way too fast, so enjoy Max now.
great picture!
i cannot take any of the credit. jaycie took the picture.
i’m gonna marry little max one day. in like 20 years.
and what day are we having dinner?!
It’s not the taker it’s the two subjects together, you both look great!
