“do you believe in aliens?” i asked max.
“yeah, i believe in aliens, but i don’t believe in god,” he said.
“ok.”
“i believe in god, but not in aliens,” jayice said.(because apparently max takes after his atheist mom and jaycie takes after her catholic, church-going dad)
“ok,” i said.
“my dad thinks that voice inside of his head when he talks to himself is god,” max said.
“how do you know it’s not?” i asked.
“because it’s the aliens.”
