stage fright

shawn said it was good. keith said it was good. sister #3 said it was entertaining. i think it’s ok.

i am currently obsessing over two paragraphs i wrote for class. the photo i was worried about last night? the one i was in full-on panic mode about? yeah, i didn’t even use that one. i started with that one, but someone how sister #3 got involved and it ended up turning into something that i didn’t even like. she tends to really enjoy trite and cliched stories that end with a neat little bow. i’m not sure what i was thinking– she was trying to help and in my paniced state i listened. we’ve both decided that we won’t be doing that ever, ever again.

we both agree that what i came up with by myself at 7:30 this morning is roughly 492 times better than what i came up with last night with her aid.

that really makes me feel better. now if i could only be sure that my voice won’t shake, that i won’t turn into a squeaky-voiced giggly sweater (one who sweats and not a garment) when i read the story, well then i could spend the rest of the day calm, cool, and content.

I know you can do it well. Go forth and display your brilliance.

Remember, they ALL feel the same way you do.
