sister #3 and i went out for a late lunch/early dinner. we landed at the olive garden where we were seated behind the dreamiest looking guy i’ve ever witnessed in minnesota, his significant other (an overmade, overtan, underlycute woman), a daughter and his mother. of course, i had to eavesdrop.

“that ronnie milsap,” the mother said, “he’s been married to the same woman for over 36 years.”
“really?” dreamy guy said.
“Yes,” the mother said, “and he never got sick of her. now what about them allman brothers? did they break up?”

at this point i started laughing. whose mom goes from talking about ronnie milsap to the allman brothers in one short sentence?
