sister #4 and i went to see Panic Room (2002) this afternoon. it’s nice mindless fun. you never have to think because the movie moves pretty fast and i liked that.

what i didn’t like was the couple sitting behind us who decided it would be a wonderful family thing to do on a sunny sunday. the couple trundled in about 10 minutes into the movie with their two young daughters, who must have been about 5 and 6.

yes, five and six year olds at this rated R movie. the movie was distrubingly violent, directed by the same guy who did “fight club.” so you can imagine how graphic some of the scenes were.

why? why would you subject your children to something like this? would you take your kids to see something that was sexually graphic? i think not. but sure blood and guts and brains falling out, that’s all fine.

grrr . . . shit like this just pisses me off.
