is there anyone on earth who can eat cherries and not think of that really disgusting scene in “Witches of Eastwick” where the pastor’s wife starts vomitting up cherry pits?
because you know, i can’t.
at writing group on saturday damon brought out a GIANT bag of cherries and now i can’t seem to stop eating them. and, subsequently, i can’t stop thinking of that scene, or that scene in “Sixteen Candles” where farmer ted admits to sam that he’s a cherry.

We never ate the pretty pretty Mango. Didn’t AMH admit to MR that he was a “cherry” in “The Breakfast Club”? All those movies are a blur to me sometimes…
yes, he actually also admits that he’s a cherry in Breakfast Club. i think that’s all AMH ever did in any movie. But i was thinking specifically of 16 candles the scene in the shop class where they’re sitting in the car.
IIRC, the line in Sixteen Candles was something like “I’ve never bagged a babe. I’m not a stud.”
“Cherry” was only mentioned in The Breakfast Club.
what does IIRC stand for? except you know that i’m wrong.
also, i am SO watching 16 candles when i get home.
IIRC is “I IRC you by pointing out you’re wrong.”
No, seriously, it’s an acronym for “If I Recall Correctly”, which I find happening less and less often these days, what with me being of advanced age and all.
I can tie a cherry stem into a knot with my tongue, it’s really not that hard, it’s one of those pretzel type knots.
