Vonnegut on how to write a good short story

I saw this on My Own Private Bookclub and had to share. I start a new class tomorrow night, so writing has been on my mind.

i especially dig that last point. i hate it when there is something exciting happening and the writer starts going on and on about the hero’s clothes or a description of the landscape or some such. i actually skip ahead to find out what happened and then track back.

darned writers.
