Gin-soaked brains and 80s videos

I’ve been trying to write some kind of post to take the place of the last post all day. But stringing together words was way more work than my gin-soaked brain could handle. In fact, watching reruns of “A Different World” or “Dawson’s Creek” was even too taxing. I spent a lot of time while not sleeping parked in front of VH1 Classics’ 80 Hours of ’80s videos. Watching Journey and Bon Jovi and Blue Oyster Cult videos was just right. Especially the part where I got to watch a video by band called Bourgeois Tagg a band I would have never guessed I had even heard of, but who sang a song that I distinctly remember loving called “I Don’t Mind at All.

Then I spent a lot of time trying to con my friend Wolfdogg into bringing me French fries, somehow I had the energy to nag but not the energy to go get my own damn fries. It’s funny how hangovers work like that. It is not funny how people do not bend to my will and jump when I ask for French fries.

Somehow I have survived all this.

I am also soaked in gin.

It’s nice to marinate for a while, isn’t it?

Dude I love that song! And had totally forgotten about it! And had no idea who Bourgeois Tagg is or was. Fascinating.
