I have all five kids here today. It’s only 8:30 and I’m already ready for a nap. They are destroying my house and in the process making houses for their pet rocks. Nolan will only let us listen to Guided by Voices. It’s too hot to go the park so I feel a little trapped. None of them like Neutral Milk Hotel. Cade named his rock Rockus, Liam’s is Blue, and Nolan’s is Nolie, Jr.
I have class tonight and babysitting tomorrow and the Ethan Canin reading tomorrow night and on Thursday I will spend my day in a non-responsive coma, only to awaken on Friday and finish the story I’ve been dillydallying about with that is due a week from today.
I am rethinking that whole “too hot” for the park nonsense. This Supergenius HQ is not big enough for the six of us.
I’ve found that kids love GBV, especially the earlier albums.
Too hot for the park? Never.
Yuhuh! I’m a Minnesotan we aren’t built for 90-degree heat plus 80% humidity.
