whenever i’m sitting at my desk writing, whether i’m at home or at work, i always keep a notepad file open to jot down random thoughts that may or may not cross my mind. sometimes these are work related, sometimes it’s related to what i’m writing about, and sometimes it’s complete nonsense.

for instance, i just popped open today’s notepad file and all it says is “she’s the cheese and i’m the macaroni.” i wish for the life of me i could remember the context for that phrase. i know i was listening to the beastie boys earlier today, but there had to be some reason i wrote that down. i bet you it was brilliant.
