while i am not sleeping out of sheer stress and worry (more later) i was gonna write a screed filled with frothing rage over the National Book Award winning novel The News from Paraguay that i just finished reading. it was a bookclub pick and boy did we pick poorly this month. i was gonna write the frothing screed, but two more literate observers did it much better and first. so why bother wasting more time on such an utter piece of shitty disappointment, right?
