canadian invasion

well the tiny canuck invasion is complete. heather is here in my humble abode and she seems to be doing quite well with the filth. really, it’s not that bad and i told her we’d probably only remain friends if she didn’t ever, ever enter into the hellhole that i call a bedroom. so far, it’s good. i even made her dinner. and i think she ate it, thought she might have tossed it all down the garbage disposal when i wasn’t looking.

i got to take her to her very first barnes and noble. apparently the crazy canucks don’t believe in books or something. i can’t quite explain it. sadly, we couldn’t stay entirely too long because i was starting to have a minor breakdown in front of the FOUR FUCKING SHELVES of Stephen King books. . . and then when i saw the three shelves relegated to Dean Koontz, i just couldn’t take it anymore. i mean, really. is that necessary? maybe dean and stephen and john grisham should all retire and give some other poor, struggling author a chance you know? so yeah, that’s why we had to go, i was getting louder and more vocal and heather was afriad i’d be attacked by some rabid stephen king fan.

tomorrow she gets to try chipotle and target and caribou coffee, i’m not sure if she’s ready for so much wonderfulness in a single day.

Try to get her to apologize as much as possible, the Canadian pronunciation of “sorry” will make your day as filled with wonder and awe as her’s will be upon sampling these culinary delights.

i just want you to know that even though i have “different seasons” by stephen king on my current reading list, i am not a rabid stephen king fan. it’s the only book of his i’ve read and i’m reading it because it has “rita hayworth and the shawshank redemption” in it.

    that is all.

Are you bringing her to the post-Loft Grump-fest, eh?

Chipotle, Target, and Caribou? That’s *way* too much Minnesota in one day for anyone! 🙂

I don’t know about Chipotle, it being McMexican and all. You might try food on a stick, hot dish, and Cool Whip. Maybe coffee with an egg in it. Tavern on Grand has some good Walleye.

is it even legal to consume chipotle in Minnesota? 😉 I think the poor girl needs to take a vacation to Texas. talk about a culture shock.
