“cade broke my computer,” sister #3 said as soon as i picked up the phone.
“how?”
“he somehow managed to put the taskbar over on the right and i’ve spent all afternoon trying to get it back on the bottom.”
“right click and unlock the taskbar.”
“it is unlocked.”
“ok, now click in the middle on the taskbar but not on a button, and drag it down to the bottom.”
“it’s not working!”
“where are you clicking?”
“not on a button, on the taskbar, like you said.”
“and then drag it down.”
“it’s not working!”
“you’re clicking wrong!”
“how can you click wrong?”
“i don’t know, but you are.”

this went on for about 10 minutes.

“ok,” i said. “i just moved my taskbar to the right.”
“ok.”
“now click about a half inch above the clock.”
“my pointer doesn’t change to the draggy pointer.”
“it’s not supposed to.”
“ok.”
“now while clicked drag it down and to the left.”
“TO THE LEFT! it worked! you never said to the left.”
“oh.”
“i love you.”
