i was talking to CL (the friend and co-worker who’s taking this class with me) and i was waxing poetic about beautiful robert. CL totally thinks i should make a play for him, he’s like my flirting coach. i, of course, turn into low self-esteem girl.

“i just hate to hear you say stuff that sounds like he’s too good for you, or wouldn’t like you,” CL said. “clearly you guys probably have tons in common and so it’s worth a shot.”
“i dunno,” i said.
“it’s always worth a shot,’ he said.
“girls like me are an acquired taste, i think”
“so are lots of great things jodi, maybe he’s a connoisseur.”

that was the nicest thing anyone’s said to me in like a month.
