i’m working on something for bittersweetheart and it got me to thinking about kickball again.
see, over memorial day weekend, the sister club rediscovered the joys of kickball. when sister #2 and the stink had their bbq for the beginning of summer a few weeks ago, they decided to get together another kickball game. it was late, and i was inside talking with jodi hanson (and endlessly exclaiming how eerie it is to look at her twins because they look exactly like her) so i did not participate or document the ensuing mayhem.
after sister #4 took a ball that was kicked by bigben, amandahugnkiss’ fiancee, to the face, the game broke up. tiffany, sister #2’s absolutely adorable new friend, came in to tell us a bit about the game, and comfort her just-woke-up 10-month-old daughter, georgia.
“how was the game?” jodi hanson asked.
“dangerous,” tiff said.
“what?”
“it’s so dark out there you can barely see anything.”
“whose team were you on?” sister #3 asked.
“i was the last picked,” tiff blurted out. “i keep telling myself that it was because i was the last one in the backyard. but i still have all those horrors flooding back to me.”
sister #3, jodi hanson and i all nodded our head in complete empathy.
