if i had gone with my gut and fled work at 4:30 when i wanted to, i wouldn’t still be here working. how fair is this? i’m on vacation tomorrow, isn’t it like my right to bust out of here early? i think this might break some sort of union code, being at work until 6 o’clock the day before a vacation. hrmph.

actually, i’m in a union, and i’m regularly overworked immediately before a vacation. it’s the nature of the beast. plus, they have letters of understanding to cover such occurances.
