sometimes i’ll check my mail and i’ll watch the blue bar move to the right, anticipating what could possibly arriving. then i’ll wait, anxiously, for it to appear. i’ll hear the eudora bells announcing the arrival of my e-mail and check to see what i got. but then there’s nothing there. no e-mail. nothing that was automatically deleted. nothing new in any of the folder. just nothing.
i often wonder where this e-mail goes. it there someone at iwasgonnadare.com getting all my lost e-mail? where does lost e-mail go to live? i feel bad for the person who might have sent it because i’ll never get to read their words. poor, poor lost e-mail.

I didn’t see the iwasgonnadare thing coming and totally busted up laughing, so much that my coworkers came over to see.
oh yeah, forgot to answer your question.
2 things I can think of.
1, many mail systems keep a ‘dummy’ email in your mailbox all the time to store mailbox info.
2, there wasn’t any mail and eudora is just crazy (I deal with people using eudora every day… it does get crazy).
2.5, there was a message automatically deleted you just didn’t see.
ok so that was two and a half.
Wes is probably onto something with the “automatically deleted message” theory.
Your ISP/mail provider may be killing the “spam”. I know, Jodi… You long to add 3 inches to your penis, or to have the pheremones to attract women, or even to have your Cable TV descrambled, but they are BAD people, Jodi. Bad, bad people…
if her ISP had killed it it wouldn’t have made it to her mailbox, thus eudora wouldn’t have ever had a clue it existed.
Though I agree with your “wes is probably onto something” bit.
