i am off to easter brunch with the fam. it should prove most interesting. my ever-romantic dad is re-proposing to my never-romantic mom. since this, is the 30th anniversary of the first time he proposed. he spent like 4 or 5K on the ring and she’s gonna flip.
of course the whole idea makes me so smooshy i can barely speak. just the idea that he still loves her so much after 30 years amazes me. the longest any man has ever been able to stand me is a year, and he never met me.
after brunch we are off to easter egg hunt in parentland. i’m hoping jaycie will let me play with her strawberry shortcake doll– but somehow i doubt she will.
happy happy darling ones.

that is so incredibly romantic!
And have fun on the easter egg hunt! 🙂
Jodi. Your father is a lucky man. Not only because he has been in love for 30 years, but because he has been able to share it for that long.
I say this as a person that has been in love with someone for countless years. My Dulcinea, if you will. Our paths finally crossed. We shared more than I deserve over the past week and I would give anything of myself to have that for 30 years.
Your father is a very lucky man!
And to you jodi chromey… the Cave of Montesinos is out there. You’ll find it, I’m sure of it. Don’t give up on it like I did many years ago.
