i’ve come to the conclusion that i don’t like Nick Cave. not one little bit. i tried. i tried for a long, long time. one of my college friends LOVED nick cave. so i tried for her. but i can’t do it anymore. his music makes me feel icky.

That is so sad. I really like Nick Cave. I’m sure you have no desire to listen to anything more of his, but if you ever do, may I suggest Murder Ballads? His duet with Kylie Minogue is fantabulous…
me and nick cave, long long story. these days, i only feel an occasional craving for his music, and more for the old, spare, unpretentious, un-mellow, hysterical stuff, like “tupelo”. if you ever want to give him another chance, try his 80s albums. his concerts are fun, he is either super-sweet or super-sarcastic towards his audience, and sometimes, you cannot tell the difference.
polanski’s the pianist won a cesar for best movie the other day. which leaves me with the question – adrien brody, creepy or cute? can’t make up my mind. please help.
