i’ve decided sister #2 and i share the same gene for telling people stuff nobody else wants to tell them. for instance, i’m the queen of telling people they’ve got crap in their teeth, lipstick on their teeth, their zipper is down, etc.
yesterday i went to the bowling alley and talked to roughly 6 people before i got to sister #2. the first thing out of her mouth was, “you’ve got pepper stuck in your teeth.”
as i picked at it she said, “look how many people you talked to that just let you walk right on by with shit in your teeth.”
why are people so embarrassed to tell you this stuff?

I tell customers at work all the time when their zippers are down and stuff. I’m not very discreet about it though. I make sure the person behind them in line hears me too. so I’m honest and a bitch, I guess. 😉
It’s an embarassment thing;
Take a 2 year old, put red fingerpaint on their nose and show them themselves in the mirror. More than likely, they’ll just smile and giggle at the funny face in the mirror.
Take a 4 year old, do the same thing and they’ll likely shy away embarassed.
Somewhere along the line we start to compare ourselves to what we feel is “normal” and we strive to be “normal” as much as we can.
Probably why I like to play with my 2 year old nieces and nephews more than the 4 year olds; I still have a chance to keep them from striving to be “normal” and let them be their own special selves.
That’s cool that you do that, they gotta appreciate that someone saves them from walking around lookin’ like a goof. If it’s an easy fix, then why not tell ’em?
