working for the weekend

so the bossman said i could boot outta here early– his only request make it seem semi-respectable. so i’m staying for another hour.

of course most of this last hour has already been filled with discussing my movie-viewing options with shawn. i really, really want to see one-hour photo or the good girl, but i really, really don’t wanna trudge to uptown by myself. and i am a no-friend loser so by myself is the only option.

so i decided that maybe perhaps i should rent a movie and shawn campaigned long and hard for “rock star.”

“it’s a bad movie, but you’ll love it.”

how can i really turn down a movie about 80s hair metal?

i am very on the fence about the good girl … it’s got the required indie-film credentials, but all the accents in the trailer really turned me off. we shall see …
