first off, let me state for the record that i’ve never seen an entire star wars film in my entire life. none of them. i just have no interest in any of them. i know some stuff about them, the characters and what not. i think you’d have to live in a hole not to know that much.
so anyway, last night i dreamt i was queen amidala with a funky ass crown made of space jewels and a kick-ass hover skateboard. it was strange. but i loved that damn skateboard.

I’m the same way. Except the dreaming about being Natalie Portman part. And the skateboard.
The Queen Amidala part is fairly accurate, with the crown and all. However, you’ve juxstaposed Star Wars, Episode 1 (the only film in which see was the elected Queen [apparently on her planet, the Queen serves a limited term and is elected]) and Back To The Future 2 (where the hoverboard comes from).
If you’re ever tied down and forced to watch the Star Wars films, I think you’ll find them (especially the original trilogy) laden with Judeo-Christian symbolism and a strong undercurrent of pagan beliefs. Additionally, all the movies were translated (quite well) into books, and we all know how you crave literary diversions.
I saw the original Star Wars in 1977. I fell asleep watching it. My desire to see anything even remotely related to it is less than zero!
However, I was in LOVE with Luke Skywalker, even though I only saw him for maybe half an hour before drifting off into sleep.
