the politics of purse purchasing

my new purse arrived today. i am please and happy to announce that it’s working out wonderfully.

i must admit i was a little bit worried about starting this relationship on the internet. it’s not the usual way i go about my purse purchases. the internet makes it just so easy to be deceptive. flaws can be easily hid when you can’t see and touch it.

usually, when it comes to purse purchases i am a firm believer in the test drive. you gotta look under the hood, pop the trunk and all that jibber jabber. you wouldn’t buy a car without driving it, you wouldn’t marry a man without trying him, i really didn’t think you could buy a purse without touching it.

but i was wrong. my gut instincts about this purse were right. it’s a perfect fit. i worried the straps would be too short for me, but they’re not. i worried the purse would be too roomy for me, but it isn’t.

it’s just right. what a relief.
