we had every intention of being there to see the event. but we all know the road it hell is paved with good intentions.
i got a late start and we just chatty chat chatted the whole time at the olive garden (mmm, my breath is so bad right now i’m surprised the screen isn’t melting).
so we missed it.
i’ve never felt so old and unattractive in my entire life. kari, jakey and i ventured out into the cold, minnesota night in hopes of seeing allison’s cheerleading troupe do their cheery thing. the troupe allison coaches is heading off to nationals in florida this weekend. they wanted to do some practice runs in front of a crowd. we were gonna be part of the crowd.
but we were late and we missed everything, which stinks muchly.
being surrounded by cute, petite, high school cheerleaders sure makes one’s self esteem take a beating. of course, i had to pick on michelle and tell her how she’d be able to pass as a high school student still. she didn’t take that as a compliment. then she pinched her friend rachel and well. . . then we had to make comments about detention and what not.
one thing i know for sure, i’m so damn glad i’m not in high school anymore.
