I was not so impressed with Fast Food Nation. A lot of it was just information that we all knew but just never really talked about, and some of it was just a history of fast food which was interesting in its own right. If you really want to be shocked, read Upton Sinclair’s “The Jungle.” Though you can skip the last 30 pages, the book takes a sharp swing away from the point it was trying to make in the first 400 pages to suddenly preach socialism.
