the battle begins

sister #3 wants me to create a website for her not-yet-born baby. i thought it was a cool idea. it’d be so much fun. she could keep a journal, post pictures, talk about her feelings and expectations.

we got the domain and whatnot. that was the easy part. yesterday we discussed some of the stuff she wants on the site.

“i want little storks that move and maybe it can play twinkle, twinkle little star.”
“no!”
“oh please, like the little cartoons, they are so fun.”
“no!”
“it has to play twinkle, twinkle little star, that’s the theme of the nursery!”
“over my dead body.”
“you have no taste.”

bah!

I love it when civilians get in the game. Once she’s heard the bad midi version of the Twinkle the 3rd time she visits the site, she’ll run begging for you to remove it. That’s when you turn evil and refuse to remove it! Evil Sister!

I hate music on websites. Ugh. Good idea putting your foot down.

a flash intro would be a good alternative to midi and ani-gifs, though… just make sure there’s a “skip intro” button.

I, too, hate music on websites… it irritates the hell out of me b/c I can’t turn it off. Yeah, I could turn my speakers off but then I can’t listen to my OWN music..
