Kristy has just pointed out one of my fatal flaws. . . i’m a terrible e-mail/comment responder. really, i am wretched. which is terrible because i get all whiny when someone doesn’t respond to my e-mail. i make it a resolution every three months or so, to respond to all e-mail within 24 hours of receiving it. then i break the resolution about 3 days after making it. my other fatal flaws include:
• an ever-changing mind. i make all sorts of resolutions and proclamations and edicts all the time, then like 10 mintues later i totally change my mind.
• i am consistently 10-15 minutes late for everything. everything! no matter what. what’s even worse is that i get super annoyed when someone else is late. . . i’m totally impatient with other’s lateness which makes me not only late but a hypocrit. the sister club once did these cute little lists of all our traits on sister #3’s refrigerator with poetry magnetics. mine were: red, books, late, smart (or something like that). so yeah the lateness is bad, bad, bad.
• i leave my socks all balled up under my desk. it drives me nuts because then i kick them way, way under the desk and when it’s time to do laundry, i have to go and crawl under the desk to get them out.
• i don’t type with capital letters here on iwildare.com or when i send personal e-mails. but if i get a work e-mail and it doesn’t have proper capitalization, i think rather poorly of the poor non-capitalizer.
i am sure there are tons more, but i can’t think of them at the moment.
I guess the old edict is true…the attributes/behaviors we most hate in others are the same we most dislike to see in ourselves. (Whether they are there or not)
I disagree. I’m always on time, usually early, and I get very annoyed by Jodi being late all the time.
hey there NBFB, i was actually on time the last time we hung. where is the jodi love? sheesh.
Email fanatic here. Check it compulsively, nine or ten or a billion times a day. Can’t stand to let it sit.
Except the hotmail account listed with this post, which I’m lucky to check often enough to keep it active.
do you respond as soon as you get it?
jodi….
it never made me un-like you. i am of the belief that blogs are self driven for self reasons and it is then our selves that we must please. i just..just…suppose no one likes to go largely ignored. and now that i’ve demanded your attention and i’m late in responding…we are even. 🙂
