as some of you may or may not know, when swanky sara the cell phone rings most obnoxiously, the theme song from “Inspector Gadget” can be heard calling forth from her shiny blue body. yes, my cell phone ring is the most annoying thing on earth, but then so are cell phones so i don’t feel too bad about the whole thing.

anyway, back when the minion started she eagerly said that she could be here at 8:30 a.m. on the days she was in the office. of course, she said this when the bossman was around, and i think she just wanted to seem eager and all.

when i got her alone, i told her that i was never, ever gonna be here at 8:30 a.m. and if she wanted to be here around 9ish, she was more than welcome. i told her the only rule that i had is that if she was going to be later than 9:30 she had to call, because if everyone’s not here by 9:30 i start to worry.

and being the good minion that she is, she always calls when she’s going to be late. but, being the bad minion she is she always calls swanky sara the inspector gadget singing cell phone, which causes everyone in my office to laugh. because apparently it’s funny to have an inspector gadget singing cell phone. thankfully, she’s not late very often.
