shooting up from the thorny ground

there was a time in the not so distant past where i thought going to meetings was like a fun thing. it made me feel grown-up and important. now, i know how horribly wrong i was. i think that’s just some sort of myth we workerbees we tell ourselves to escape the monotony of our work-day life.

i spent roughly 5 hours of the 8 hour work day in meetings today. tomorrow, i got a whole 6 hours worth of meetings– the best kind back to back to back from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

yes, envy my sexxy dilberesque life.

in other news, after a meeting one of my co-workers said, “you guys, the web team, you laugh so much. that’s so nice. whenever anyone hears laughter in this place, they know it’s coming from your area.”

and that, that was really good to hear. of course, i hadn’t the heart to tell her that we laugh instead of kicking and screaming.

Love your site. It feels somewhat awkward browsing through it though. It’s well written, very personal and I feel like a peeping tom of sorts. A bit like an early Melissa Etheridge song. Revealing, angst ridden and real. 🙂

I am soooo totally on your bus about the meetings thing. I used to feel the same way…
