the house that rock built

in a few weeks sisters #3, #4 and i will be venturing to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in the fine city of Cleveland. Any ideas on what in the hell else there is to do in cleveland besides the museum?

Well, if you like sports there’s baseball, football and basketball (all either in season or in training camps). If you like drinking there’s a section of downtown called “The Flats” – its nothing but bars, supposedly(but I don’t drink so I’m not exactly sure where it is).

Depending on how you’re getting there, you can stop at either 6 Flags or Cedar Point. I recommend Cedar Point because they’re much better…

Hmm, what to do in Cleveland?

This is a question that’s been plaguing the citizens of Cleveland since approximately 1796, and is best compared with the koan “What is the sound of one hand clapping?”

Drive two hours East and spend at least a day at Cedar Point. It’s often recognized as the best amusement park in the world because of their awesome roller coasters. If you can, spend the night at the hotel (name forgotten – sorry) on the island, and the beautiful beach between the hotel and the park. Me and my date almost got run over on that beach one night by an overly aggressive security guard – came about two feet from crushing both of us in a 4wd. I was working at CP at the timem as the IMAX projectionist. That was one fun summer! Crowds are much lighter (shorter lines) on the weekdays, but go any chance you get. It’s the best!

You could visit my newly widowed aunt and qualify for free mental healthcare thereafter.
