you all know how very much i love burnt sienna. it’s my very favorite crayon. of all the colors in the crayola box, burnt sienna is the best. i’ve loved it for as long as i can remember. but now the crazy cats at Crayola are trying to get rid of it!

To make enough room in the Crayola box so our new colors can stay after the party is over, four old colors have to go. Which four will fade away forever? It’s up to crayon fans everywhere to “save the shade” they want to keep coloring with! The color that receives the most votes will remain in active duty. The other four will be retired to the Crayola Hall of Fame.
The four colors up for ousting are Burnt Sienna. Blizzard Blue, Mulberry, Teal Blue and Magic Mint.

I remember using “burnt sienna” quite a bit while I was growing up. Until the one day in elementary school where someone told me I was coloring with the “poop” color. To this day, I still associate burnt sienna with poop. But to your cause, I hope the color sticks around if for nothing else, because it’s a color that I can name out of the box that isn’t red, green, blue or something generic like that.
