i took otto, my laptop, down to the bowling alley tonight because i have great gobs of work to do. of course none of the bowlers can quite get their brains around the fact that i have an actual job job and that i don’t make my living serving up beer and renting shoes.

“whatcha doing?”
“work.”
“homework?”
“no workwork.”
“are you writing new ABC bylaws or something?”
“no, i’m doing work for my real job.”
“you have a real job?”
“yes, an actual real job.”
“shit, i thought you were still in college.”
“i’m 30 years old!”
“well then, i guess it’s good you have a real job and just don’t work at a bowling alley.”
