crimes against vocabulary

oh yeah, i finished “junk english” by ken smith this weekend too. i loved it. of course i also realize that i am going straight to hell for my crimes against vocabulary. i am also driving most everyone nuts with my little diatribes about the meaningless of words like powerful, world-class and other hooha people love us marketing types to include in our propaganda. i think if i say, “but what does that mean?” one more time someone’s going to shove a pen in my eye.

at least my pal virginia, the vixen of verbiage, understands. sadly, she won’t be in the meeting where i evenutally get my eye poked out for saying that words like popular, complete, total, affordable and other hooha don’t mean jack to anyone anymore. that by using those words we aren’t saying anything and they are all just useless words that nobody will even take the time to ponder.

Tell me about it…so many people are using the word “wretched” these days. 🙂
