I?ve discovered something about my best friend Kari that has rocked the very foundation of our friendship. This news has so shocked and stunned me that I must discuss it with everyone who walks by, with anyone who will listen to me babble on and on about this stunning news.
Kari puts the toaster away.
Yes! Surely this is the most bizarre thing you?ve ever heard of in your entire life. When she?s done making toast, pop tarts, bagels, toaster strudel, what have you?she puts the toaster into a cupboard.
Sure she waits for the appliance to cool off. But she puts it away. This is, quite possibly, the most ludicrous thing I?ve ever heard in my entire.
Who puts the toaster away?
I mean, c?mon there has to be some limits. She claims she?s worried about the integrity of the food she places to be toasted within that toaster. She claims that bugs could fall in there and there might be (and I quote) ?the essence of box elder on your toast.?
Clearly she doesn?t understand that should a bug fall into your toaster that the bug would be fried to death on the toasting elements and really isn?t it sorta just like a bug-zapper?
But don?t worry. I am a tolerant and benevolent friend. I am bigger than this fundamental difference in ideology. But if she names her new puppy Taco, I am outta here.
my parents force everyone to put the toaster away…but i promised myself that when i move into my house in june, i will not. 😉

uhm… i put my toaster away. but i have a really good reason! really!! i don’t have much counterspace and i hate a cluttered counter. so i put it on the windowsill.

i can buy the windowsill, that’s not really putting it away in a cupboard.
i just can’t get over all this toaster nonsense.
I also put my toaster away because of lack of counterspace. And I don’t use it every day. The only appliance that I keep on the counter is the George Foreman. and only because he doesn’t fit in the cabinet.
Don’t you think it’s nice to have a clean countertop once in a while?
