For some reason when I woke up this morning the first thing that popped into my head was the fact that i just might die if I did not get to listen to the song “Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters” at least 57 times today. Before work I fired up the old peer-to-peer and went in search of Mona Lisa. Thankfully, I found it, because I didn’t want to blame Elton John for anything more than me being late for work.
I have no idea why this song is so stuck in my head. It seems so random. I don’t even think I’ve heard the song in full, only the part that’s played in the movie “Almost Famous.” Now what’s bugging me is that I cannot for the life of me remember which scene the song plays in. For some reason I have convinced myself that it’s in the scene where Penny leaves New York after she tries to kill herself. But that’s not clicking, so I know it’s not right.
What’s really sad is that I used to have that movie memorized. I used to do my own version of karaoke to that movie, I had watched it so many times. I used to have a bet with this guy that I could recite the movie line for line while I was drunk. Lucky for me, I’ll never be called on to make good on that bet because sadly that guy disappeared.
So, here’s my plea. . . do you remember what scene that song is played in?
…when Penny Lane runs out on the dinner after meeting Russell’s GF.
‘Who’s that chick? she’s creeping me out.’
Did you go look it up? Because there’s no way you knew that off the top of your head.
in unison:
“She’s with me…”
and that’s when dick goes and tells her to leave and she runs out all upset, and both russell and william stand up and look at her, then look at each ther and william takes off running after her.
i love william.
i love you too, jodi.
ahh william, you’re so sweet.
not as sweet as your creamy thighs and ample bosoms…
HA! that made me laugh. and william, that is not your line. your line is:
where do you get off… where do you get “sweet?” i’m not sweet. i’m dark and mysterious and pissed-off
there’s nothing in the movie about thighs and/or bosoms.
nope. i think i’m supposed to say; “i love you. and i’m about to boldly go where…many men have gone before.”
then i’d give a quick sqeeze of your ample bosoms before plunging my head into your creamy thighs…
*cue orgasm*
Mmmm, Penny Lane.
She can have my heart…& all the rest.
Favorite line-
“Are you popular at school?
“No, not really.”
“Well don’t worry, you’ll see them all again on the long road to the middle.”
PSH is the man.
William, I don’t think we’re watching the same movie.
