I loved Hedgwig, and right on brainy one! If you listen to the soundtrack to that movie, there’s a band called Girls Against Boys (whom you may or may not have heard of) on it. The scene where Hedwig (I think) is jumping on the bed, GvsB is playing in the background.

I mention this only because their bassist, Johnny Temple, is a friend of mine. Besides being in the band, he runs an independent press called Akashic Books that you might want to check out. They publiash some fucking incredible books.

I had some other stuff I wanted to say, like never forget that you’re a strong one. I wanted to type you this big gushy REVEALING thing after reading “Girl Parts” last night, but I had to go to work. Just know that… no matter what… you’re better than what the world tries to do to you, and you have all the power in the world to slash the mean reds dead. I mean that, as much as anything and everything else in the world.

Now, I must go off to the gym and sweat. Then sleep… hopefully.

Be well, you super smartypants you.

    All my best,

Johnny E (the artist formerly known as Johnny A, who types a whole lot when he’s tired, apparently :))

I’ve friends from DC, NYC, and all those fun places. I used to live in both of them.

And my best friend in the entire world – we dated each other for over two-and-a-half years, and she’s got the baddest, saddest pout face in the entire world. So I’m trained in resiliancy.

Sorry. I’m still considering it though. 🙂

Well jeepers, being annonymous allows me to… well, I dunno.

It allows me to BE POWERFUL. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

    Oprah would hate me :(.

You know the movie Moulin Rogue? Reading your little “Currency of India” story reminds me of my favorite scene in it. Where Talouse says that the play is going to be set in “Svitzerland!” (wrong spelling intentional), and the Duke says, “Switzerland?” And then Christian screams out in desperation, “India! It’s set in India!”

God… you probably have no clue what I’m talking about. But I have a friend who’s originally from India, and whenever we see each other now, we greet by screaming, “India! It’s set in India!” Then we laugh like fools.

No, really. I’ve been sleeping well lately. Really. Really I have. It’s not like I’m going to bed right now, 9:30PM, because I’m totally exhaused.

But the Amy Hempel books I ordered from Amazon shipped today! Woo hoo! Happy Valentines Day to me!

Take me down the the super dorky city, where the girls are brainy and everyone’s a smartie,

    Axl Johnny
