the possibilities are endless!

it’s a brand new year.

last night the old year was rang out in traditional chromey sister style. you know, sometimes i feel like i am obligated to do big, cool new year’s type stuff in some hip club surrounded by beautiful people and what not. but i really can’t think of a better way to ring in a new year than in a warm house with a fire going surrounded by the people i love and who love me most in the entire world.

all the sisters were present, even unofficial sister #5 (that’s jodi hanson the best friend of 20+ years for you keeping track at home). there husbands, boyfriends (well, sister #4’s was there) amanda (sister #4’s best friend) and a boatload of kidlings.

as the new year crept ever closer the kidlings joined us in the front room. stinky and tony tried to uncork the champagne on the porch while each kidling chose an adult to cuddle with. because max has impeccable taste he chose me.

there was much loud counting and last second scrambling of champagne glasses and then kisses for everyone.

it was wonderful– absolutely wonderful.

and i don’t know if it’s my lack of sleep or my gooberines but just thinking about it now makes me get all choked up. really, we had a blast.

i pity poor jodi hanson. she’s as big as a house and that’s not even writerly hyperbole. she went to the doctor yesterday and she measures four feet around. FOUR FEET!! of course sister #3 looks like an itty-bitty peanut next to jodi. which makes jodi feel like a cow and sister #3 feel wonderful.

the doctor says the twins are progressing wonderfully. since she’s tall enough (5’7″) they don’t think they’ll have to induce labor too early or anything. they think she’ll go to 38 weeks. they are girls and they plan on calling them bailey and haydn.

i can’t wait! so much to look forward in this new year. the future is bright and the possibilities are endless.
