i stayed up until 2 this morning finishing off Douglas Coupland’s All Families Are Psychotic. It was most disappointing. through out the book i found myself saying, “no way. c’mon.” the book was just much, much too clever. it’s like coupland tried way too hard with this one. maybe he was under some kind of contractual obligation or something.

the book sort of read like a tarentino movie put to a novel. there was a lot of violence. the characters were hard to believe, the situations they were involved in were just absurd.

i love coupland, and i must say i enjoyed the disappointing Miss Wyoming much more than this load of tripe.
