i was telling michelle about these earrings i got for easter when i was in 6th grade. i loved those earrings with my entire 11-year-old heart.
they were rhinestone earrings in the shape of michael jackson’s glove.
“i loved those earrings.”
“i wouldn’t share that information with a lot of people if i were you.”
“if i were really cool, i’d have only worn one, like michael.”
“if you were really cool?”
“yes.”
maybe she’s just too young to get it. coincidentally michael and michelle share the same birthday.

It’s funny; a friend of mine turned me on to Alien Ant Farm’s version of “Smooth Criminal;” it’s actually well done!!! What’s even funnier is how contemporary the song can sound!
You should see the video for AAF’s “Smooth Criminal” — it’s damn funny and it’s quite the MJ parody.
Right on, Keith! I love the part where he jumps on the old Pacer and the windows blow out! That little kid dancing throughout the video is really talented, too!
That’s so funny! The part where he jumps on the car and screams and grabs his crotch and the windows blow out is definitely my favorite part of the video too. But I thought it was a Gremlin…?
I thought it was a Gremlin, too, but a buddy of mine that owned a Gremlin (poor guy) pointed out some things to me about it… he could be mistaken, though. My first instincts were Gremlin, too!
Either way, that car is SUCH an icon of the 70’s!!!
Come now… lest you forget the icon status it re-achieved in the early ’90s with its prime placement in “Wayne’s World.”
*looking around guiltily as she hides her michael jackson glove earrings in a drawer*
