i had to go to the post office this morning. yes, i know i spend entirely too much time going to and talking about the post office, but deal with it.

so i went to the post office to parcel out some parcels and i was helped by none other than mr. yummilicious postmaster himself. however all was not well in yummilicious postmaster land– sure he looked all cute in his khakis and balding head, and glasses and cliff claven shirt with tie, but i spied upon his finger a wedding ring!

the postmaster is married! oh the horror.

also, he was wearing a nametag today and his name is steve.

and yesterday i forgot to mention that there was a happy orange slip in my mailbox which, you well know darling ones, means i get to visit my favorite sexxy postmaster. sadly he was busy helping some schmuck– but once i discovered what was in the orangey, wonderful package from mkh all thoughts of the postmaster were banished.

inside was the special release book and CD for Paul Westerberg’s 14 Songs. i nearly cried. do you have any idea how much and badly i wanted this?

such stunning acts of utter thoughtfulness always throw me for a loop. there is no way i am worthy of such unbridled kindness. as i told mkh, thank you seems so inadequate.

why is it that i feel so weird for having such a lusty crush on the postmaster?

maybe it’s because he’s old enough to be my father. maybe it’s because he’s bald with a very little bit of grey hair. maybe it’s the whole cliff claven thing. postmen aren’t supposed to be sexxy are they?

but he’s just so damn fine and a voice like velvet. i’m guessing he must be pushing 50. but i just can’t help myself. i really must go to the post office more often.

hey darling ones, i forgot to mention that i finally made it to the post office on friday. i know, i know those silly super special prizes were supposed to be mailed out like an eon ago.

what can i say? i’m a slacker.

you will be happy to know that when i went to the post office to mail off your super special prizes, i was helped by the uberswanky, ultrasexxy postmaster that i love.

yeah, i think there might be something inherently sick about having fantasies about the post office and whatnot.
