Me too. I only know of two others, “Papa Come Quick (Jody and Chico)” by Bonnie Rait and “Jody Girl” by Bob Seger. Both of whom spelled it incorrectly.
I’m going to check this one out, I’m looking for a new favorite song.
Hey we are also mentioned in Bryan Adams Summer of ’69… “Jimmy quit, Jodi got married…” I’m pretty sure it isn’t spelled correctly as he is probably referencing a guy Jody that got married and quit the band.
I will check the Dodo’s song out too – actually I caught the tail end of it when it played on XM on the New Indie First channel. Thank you also for the tips of the other songs with our name – I only knew of Bob Segar’s (and LOVE it, though it is very depressing).
Ha, I did a google search for songs with my name in them, and I found this blog entry! I’m not sure how I feel about this song, since I had to youtube it to hear it, and it was some cruddy cellphone-made live recording. Which are not always bad, but this one was. *sigh*

You should look into Jody by America, and Rattlesnakes by Lloyd Cole and the Commotions.
