Dazzling

ed note: i wrote this one when i was in love, love, love with a boy named Dave. he had amazing blue eyes, a nasty scar on his chin and a mullet. he was beautiful. we used to hang out at this townie bar called the Diamound Lounge with amy skal. this was all well and good, but dave had a serious girlfriend. she was a beautiful redhead and though he spent more time with me than he did her, he was ever loyal. i hated that about him. so i wrote this about him.

Dazzling

Dancing on broken beer
bottles
We were drunk for free
My soles bled and I cried
when you kissed me
and told me
they were diamonds

    I really like this poem.
I read it yesterday and lines
    keep popping into my head.
    Thank-you for sharing.
