a drunked up country boy who never knew his place

instead of writing, like i should be, i’m sitting here looking at my computer screen and sorta grinning for no reason at all, contemplating turning on the air conditioning or masturbating, singing along to the smiths “this charming man” at the very top of my lungs, and waiting for the neighbors to complain about the hideous racket.

not very productive at all, i know. perhaps i’ll go track my camera again. perhaps, darling ones, you could give me a story idea or seven.

also, there are only 11 months until my birthday. also, it’s still not too late to send me gifts for this year’s birthday. also, i need to finish my homework.

“…perhaps, darling ones, you could give me a story idea…”

No help from me, sorry. I never know what my stories are going to be about until I write them. In fact, I usually only have a title to work from. I’d let you in on some of the wonderful best-seller titles I’ve got in my head, but you’d have to fork over some royalties, and everyone knows that money ruins relationships.

have you heard the death cab version of the song? So fun. check it out on “you can play these songs with chords.” (thanks for confirming that this is a smith’s song, as i knew it was a cover…suspected the smith’s, but it’s good to KNOW.)

    🙂

    “drunked up country boy”?

    This Charming Man
    The Smiths

    Punctured bicycle
    On a hillside desolate
Will nature make a man of me yet ?

    When in this charming car
    This charming man

    Why pamper life’s complexity
    When the leather runs smooth
    On the passenger seat ?

    I would go out tonight
But I haven’t got a stitch to wear
    This man said “it’s gruesome
That someone so handsome should care”

    Ah ! A jumped-up pantry boy
    Who never knew his place
    He said “return the ring”
He knows so much about these things
He knows so much about these things

    I would go out tonight
But I haven’t got a stitch to wear
    This man said “it’s gruesome
That someone so handsome should care”
    La, la-la, la-la, la-la, this charming man …
    Oh, la-la, la-la, la-la, this charming man …

    Ah ! A jumped-up pantry boy
    Who never knew his place
    He said “return the ring”
He knows so much about these things
He knows so much about these things
He knows so much about these things

    New York version adds :

    I would go out tonight
But I haven’t got a stitch to wear

    I would go out tonight
But I haven’t got a stitch to wear
    Oh, la-la, la-la, la-la, this charming man …
