despite my absolute love of The Crispin?Glover (based mostly on back to the future with a good does of the river’s edge thrown in) that Willard movie looks super creepy.
also, i started my pampering evening with pizza, homemade (ok they were break and bake, but i had to bake them) chocolate chip cookies and The Bitch in the House. but the book made me think of marriage and singlehood and motherhood and being 30 and single and well, that was more than i wanted to think about tonight. so instead i watched Meet My Folks which made me laugh so hard i nearly peed myself.
if you can put aside the completely archaic premise of the show, you will find it’s a laugh riot. just the idea that three people would compete for a damn date just cracks me up. they are all so phony. the parents are always so self-rightoeus and apparently never did anything bad ever in their entire lives. not only that, their offspring is a total, complete angel. amazing!
I could arrange for you to receive a copy of Crispin Glover’s album, if you so desired. It is, however, in Lincoln, NE, and I am not, but I can have it brought to me on Saturday for copying and mailing to you. (I bought a copy a few years ago for the boyfriend and said boyfriend is coming to visit and he’s going to be bringing other stuff for me, too, so it would not be a big deal for him to bring that CD for copying as well.)
