from my daughter’s Chinese stamp set, the lower symbol on the right looks like friend. I’ll ask her if she recognizes anything when she gets home from first grade. She’s from China and goes to Chinese school every saturday morning, which she hates, but she thinks it’s cool to write Chinese characters on her regular school papers. P.S. if you don’t find Mr. Right (or even if you do and your eggs aren’t up to snuff), after you turn 35, and they haven’t changed the rules, you can adopt a very lovely little Chinese girl to share all that yummy love you have.

p.s. she gets a break from school this saturday, but if you can wait until the 27th we can ask her teachers what this means, unless you’ve found out by then.

i know what it’s supposed to mean, but i want to make sure it actually does mean that. you know? i’m in no rush, so the 27th wouldbe swell.

we’ll find out for sure next Sat., but the first character looks like “I”, this is just from my matching it with one of her song books and then our Chinese English dictionaries. Pictographs are hard to look up, for me anyway, but this makes a fun puzzle.
