Or at least, so I’ve been told. There are plenty of good books about Norse mythology. There are multiple versions of the Sagas and the Prose Edda and the Poetic Edda. Edain McCoy has written about Celtic and Norse goddesses. There are quite a few books about Norse mythology, if you’re interested. Fun fact: archaeologists have recently come to the conclusion that graves they previously thought had belonged to male Viking warriors are actually the graves of female Viking warriors. So apparently Viking women fought alongside the men and commanded as much respect. I suspect Scandinavian women are not at all surprised by this development.
